ATP is rebranding as Veryon

ATP, the company that launched as Aircraft Technical Publications, is rebranding as Veryon.

Launched in 1973 Veryon has 7,500 customers across 165 countries – including a quarter of all airlines.

The Veryon name represents the forward-thinking nature of our business and our company, which serves multiple facets of the aviation industry,” said Norman Happ, chief executive, Veryon. “Our core goal remains focused on providing aviation operators with the most uptime possible through our dedication to unmatched innovation and industry-leading customer service.”

ParkerGale, a Chicago private equity firm, acquired ATP from its founder in 2015. This allowed it to buy CaseBank Technologies in 2016. In 2020 Accel-KKR co-invested to allow it to buy rival Flightdocs.

Happ says: “50 years in and we’re just getting started. We’re excited to bring the Veryon brand to life—and do so as seamlessly as possible. Here’s to new horizons!”

Veryon has produced a fantastic video introducing the new name. The presenter says: “We are leaving behind the days of old when folks confused us with that flight school or – heaven forbid – the Association of Tennis Professionals.”
