Boeing Business Jets (BBJ) has joined the International Aircraft Dealers Association (IADA), becoming one of only eight OEMs in the world to have a membership.
Joining Bombardier, Textron Aviation, Dassault, Gulfstream, Honda Aircraft and Embraer, BBJ said the membership would help meet the needs of its customers following the pandemic.
“The organisation of airplane transaction experts has become a force in promoting transparency and integrity in aircraft sales,” said Erika Pearson, president, BBJ. “As the market evolves following the pandemic, we look forward to working with other IADA members to meet the needs of the growing ranks of private flyers.”
Wayne Starling, executive director, IADA said: “Our OEM members are the world’s leading business jet manufacturers that have established exceptional professional global aircraft sales networks.”
The membership will hold BBJ to accountability and a strict code of ethics to “ensure fully transparent transactions between IADA dealers and aircraft buyers”, according to the association.
Back in October, IADA made changes to its board, appointing Zipporah Marmor as chair of the company, while Phil Winters was made vice chair. Both will serve in their new roles for a year, effective from October 17th.
