Bombardier is streamlining its senior management team, in a restructure that involves the departure of Bombardier Aviation President David Coleal. The changes were said to help position the company as “a pure-play business jet company”.
As part of the restructure, the company had eliminated the role of Bombardier Aviation President role. David Coleal is to leave the company.
Éric Martel, President and CEO, Bombardier Inc. said: “With the sale of Bombardier Transportation nearing completion, we are preparing for our future as a business aviation company.”
He added: “Our goal is to create a leaner, more agile and customer-centric company to better capture growth opportunities with our industry leading business jet portfolio. This includes simplifying our corporate leadership structure. I want to acknowledge and thank David Coleal for his many contributions to Bombardier. We wish David continued success in his future endeavours.”
Meanwhile in February, Bombardier revealed plans to focus exclusively on business aviation and plans to accelerate its deleveraging through the sale of its rail business.
