Constant Aviation adds Philadelphia AOG Group

Constant Aviation has expanded its Aircraft on Ground (AOG) mobile response network with a new Philadelphia-based support team.

The new team, formed to meet a “surge in business”, will provide dedicated maintenance, avionics and structure technicians that will focus mostly on servicing southeastern Pennsylvania and southern New Jersey.

After announcing a new AOG location in Salt Lake City earlier in the year, the company now operates 28 AOG teams nationally, up by more than 30% from the 21 AOG teams in 2020.

Outside the new locations, the group is expanding by hiring staff for its high-demand areas such as California, Texas, Florida, the Chicago and Scottsdale metro areas and the greater Northeastern US.

“In my 25 years in the private aviation industry, this continues to be one of the most robust periods we have seen and that has generated record demand for our services,” said David H. Davies, CEO, Constant Aviation.

He said the increase in AOG locations is intended to help meet current demand, but added their services have “proven sustainable in all market conditions”.

Davies said: “We’ve always said our most important asset is our workforce of trained, talented technicians and that has never been more true than during the current surge in business.”

Constant Aviation’s 28 AOG mobile teams support 86 aircraft models from 14 manufacturers and service aircraft whether they are located in a hangar, at an FBO or on a ramp.

In May, the group enhanced its Maintenance Apprenticeship Program to expand recruitment and meet the growing demand for private aviation maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) services. In addition, the company increased technician pay by 10% to attract more people into the industry.
