King Aerospace 'Poised' for New Year of Opportunities

Aircraft modification and maintenance support provider King Aerospace said it “stands poised to continue its mission” with its VVIP, government and military clients.

Last year was full of challenges and some new opportunities for King Aerospace, according to chairman and founder Jerry King. “Through it all, I remain incredibly proud – and suitably humbled – by how our team joins together through both triumph and adversity to fulfill our most important duty: providing superior service to our valued customers,” he said.

Last year also saw King Aerospace add two industry veterans to the company. Pete Schneider brings an extensive background in aircraft modifications and completions as vice-president, program management and special projects. Bob Blanchard, whose career with US Customs and Border Protection and National Air Security Operations spans three decades, is King Aerospace’s new vice-president, business development and special projects. The firm also promoted longtime team member Keith Weaver to vice-president of business development.

The second annual King Aerospace BBJ Operators Forum brought members of the community together to both share information to optimise their Boeing Business Jet experience. Whilst in October, King Aerospace met with customers throughout the National Business Aviation Association (NBAA) Business Aviation Convention & Exhibition (NBAA-BACE.)

“I’ve never had a more productive show in 40-plus years of attending NBAA,” said King. “We had a ton of presidential fleet people there and lots of BBJ customers there. We even had our competition at our booth.”

As noted, the past year also brought challenges as King Aerospace prepared for the planned sundown of its contractor logistics support responsibilities for the US Army’s special electronic mission aircraft fleet. However, King Aerospace remains poised to fulfil new assignments in support of our nation’s armed forces.

“It all comes back to ‘God, Country, Family,’” said Sally O’Connor King Aerospace deputy program manager. “We remain proud of the ability to provide quality service in a quick and timely fashion. No matter the situation or the customer’s requirements, we stand ready to serve.”
