NBAA makes Jennifer Alessio new board member

The National Business Aviation Association (NBAA) has appointed Jennifer Alessio to its board of directors.

Alessio, who is currently director of Aviation for the Hewlett Packard Enterprise Global Aviation Department, will serve on the NBAA’s board until the 2023 annual meeting. She will then be eligible for a full three-year term if elected.

In her current role, Alessio oversees strategy and operations of the company’s in-house flight department. Prior to this, she spent 16 years at healthcare firm McKesson as director of Finance and Analytics for the Aviation and Corporate Security department.

Monte Koch, board chair, NBAA said Alessio’s experience in business aviation gives her “a strong understanding of our industry and insights into how NBAA can best help its members position themselves for future growth and success”.

The new board member also serves as treasurer for the Lee A. Archer Jr. Red Tail Youth Flying Program, which gives youth from typically underrepresented areas opportunities in aviation and science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) careers.

In October, the NBAA re-elected Charlie Precourt and Richard Walsh to its board of directors.
