Ross Aviation expands presence at Scottsdale Municiple Airport

Ross Aviation and key representatives from both the City of Scottsdale and JE Dunn broke ground last week on 1 June 2021, on an expansive new hangar and office building complex at Scottsdale Municipal Airport.

The new facility will further complement Ross Aviation’s already dominant presence at Scottsdale which is one of the company’s most active year-round locations. The 56,000 square foot hangar, along with two 3,000 square foot office buildings, will provide a significant amount of new space for Ross Aviation’s base customers at the airport – and will feature two primary bays with the capability to easily accommodate both Gulfstream 650 and Bombardier Global Express aircraft.

Staying true to the company’s on-going commitment to reducing business aviation’s impact on the environment, the roof of the new hangar and office complex at Scottsdale will also be prepped for solar panel installation, and its 36-space parking area will feature Electric Vehicle charging stations.

“Putting shovels in the ground today is the start of providing even greater hangar capacity for our customers here in Scottsdale” said Brian Corbett, chief executive officer of Ross Aviation. “Moreover, today’s groundbreaking further affirms our promise to invest in creating best-in-class facilities that allow us to provide an unmatched level of flight hospitality to make every customer’s journey as safe, hassle-free and pleasant as possible” he continued.

On hand for the ground-breaking ceremony was Scottsdale Mayor David Ortega, who added, “Congratulations to Ross Aviation for investing in success in Scottsdale, Arizona. We have an amazing team and an amazing field, which we consider to be a backbone of executive travel here in the Valley.”

JE Dunn, Inc. is the contractor responsible for build-out of the new facility. Mike Hunter, a representative of the firm, added “We’re excited to begin construction on the Ross Aviation Hangar project here at Scottsdale Airport.  We value the opportunity to build a relationship with Ross Aviation as well as to continue our relationships with Scottsdale Airport and DWL Architects.”

Ross Aviation has been highly ranked for safety and service in recent industry surveys and is quickly becoming known for its fresh and innovative perspectives in both the flight hospitality and flight maintenance services. In addition, the company expects to continue to expand its current 18-FBO network from the Cayman Islands to Alaska the months to come.
