Oliver Tebbit, a finance partner with law firm Watson Farley & Williams (WFW), is relocating from Dubai to London, as the company expands its global jet offering.
Tebbit will focus on WFW’s European corporate jet practice, while continuing to work alongside partner Dhruv Paul to serve customers in the Middle East and Asia. Clients include financiers, airlines, government entities, owners and operators on a range of cross border transaction structures covering all types of aircraft.
Backed by nearly 20 years’ experience in asset finance transactions, Tebbit joined WFW in 2016 to launch the firm’s Middle East aviation practice. During the past four years he has developed a strong client base in the Middle East region and beyond, particularly in the corporate jets space, according to the company. He has grown the team from two to six lawyers, including recently promoted Paul.
Active in the corporate jet market, he is one of only six lawyers ranked by Chambers HNW as Band 1 in Private Aircraft. Jim Bell, WFW’s Global Aviation Sector co-head, said: “He is extensively connected and a pleasure to work with and always seems to find a different angle to challenge thoughts.”
Bell described Tebbit as “an important and valued member” of the global Aviation team, leading both the Middle East aviation practice and the firm’s corporate jet practice. “We are thrilled he is joining us in London, where he will continue developing our European offering in the corporate jets market and wider aviation finance space.”
Meanwhile, Tebbit said: “I am excited to be moving to London to promote our corporate jets expertise to a wider geographic coverage.”
