The Netherlands-based operator, Zeusch Aviation has received its Dutch air operator’s certificate (AOC).

The AOC approval, granted by the Civil Aviation Authority of the Netherlands, enables Zeusch to deploy four of its King Airs for medevac and charter flights in the country. Previously, the firm flew medevac operations under an EASA AOC, working closely with a UK-based air ambulance specialist.

Herman van Kranenburg, Zeusch, MD said: “We expect to have our first flight confirmed under the new AOC within the next few days. Earning the AOC has required us to have personnel, assets, and systems set in place to ensure the safety of our passengers, employees, and the general public.”

Zeusch will be based out of Lelystad Airport (EHLE), and will operate the fleet out of both Lelystad and Amsterdam Airport (EHAM). Lelystad has a 2.7km runway and accommodates quick (IFR) departures.

“Our aircraft are ‘Swiss Army-knives’,” said van Kranenburg. “King Airs can land at large international and local airports with short paved, dirt or grass landing strips, they can be quickly reconfigured to suit specific missions, and customers can get closer to their destination, thanks to the platform’s flexible capabilities.”

The King Air’s satay record plays a factor in Zeusch’s choice to operate them. The company flies customers across territories like the North Sea and European Alps, the safety record brings added confidence to the operations, said van Kranenburg.

“As AOC holders, we are well placed to develop many new opportunities for business growth and are extremely proud to have achieved this,” he concluded.
