The Advanced Air Mobility (AAM) Institute announced this week a collaboration with the National Association of Italian Municipalities (ANCI Toscana) to develop and promote AAM, particular in the Tuscany region, reports a press release.
The release explains, “This partnership will involve joint projects with local governments, businesses, universities, research centres and civil society to advance the adoption of AAM technologies and services in the region.”
And goes on, “The Parties have committed to a wide range of activities, including the exchange of best practices and information to benefit AAM development in Tuscany.”
Educational events and online training are planned as part of this collaboration “to raise awareness about AAM among various stakeholders and the general public.” By working together, the AAM Institute and ANCI Toscana aim to create a better understanding of the Advanced Air Mobility benefits and its potential to transform mobility in Italy.
The partnership believes this collaboration represents “a significant step forward in the promotion of AAM in Italy and underscores a commitment to driving innovation and sustainability in the transportation sector,” continues the release.

Dan Sloat, Founder of the AAM Institute, remarked, “We are deeply grateful to our Liaison to Italy, Salvo Forzese, for his efforts to foster cross-border cooperation. He will play a crucial role in strengthening ties to benefit the Tuscan people.”
Simone Gheri, Director of ANCI Toscana, added, “By combining the technical expertise and ecosystem of experts, it will be possible to organise initiatives to inform, raise awareness and stimulate cooperation between public bodies, companies and start-ups in the AAM sector.”
