Farnborough International Airshow 2024: Registration Now Open

Doesn’t two years just fly by!

Described by the promoters as “the world’s leading and most international aerospace and defence event,” the Farnborough International Airshow is back with a roar, after its highly successful first post-lockdown event in 2022, featuring one of the hottest UK days on record.

This year the Airshow is being held between Monday, July 22nd and Friday, the 26th. It covers 20,000 square metres of event space and offers a multi-functional venue with flexible areas, purpose-built for the hosting of such a large-scale extravaganza. For those travelling by air, Heathrow is just 30 minutes away by car and Gatwick 50 minutes.

In line with the positive outlook for the aerospace industry, which is expecting commercial revenues to grow 14 percent year-on-year, the promoters report record-breaking demand for exhibition space, sponsorship packages and marketing activations.

REGISTRATION IS NOW OPEN.

The release states, “Following the resounding success of the 2022 event, which welcomed more than 74,000 professionals from 102 countries, including more than 250 official government and civil delegations, and racked up billions in global media reach, this year’s airshow will demonstrate the future of the industry and represent the apex of aviation.”

Some of the top global names in the aeronautical industry will be exhibiting their latest aircraft, innovations and technology, including Airbus, Boeing, Rolls-Royce, RTX, GKN and GE Aviation.

Gareth Rogers

Gareth Rogers, CEO of Farnborough International, remarked, “Farnborough is a change agent, powering excellence and innovation across the global aerospace and defence industries. The interest from global businesses to exhibit and attend the airshow has been phenomenal, and reflects the incredible demand there is from leaders to showcase their technology at our imitable platform and revolutionise the next era of the industry.”

The July event will see the return of the award-winning Aerospace Global Forum (AGF), the platform that aims to champion change and drive immediate action, accelerating transition to the net-zero economy.

AGF is to host high-level keynote sessions from leaders across the aerospace industry dedicated to sustainability and defence. The release continues, “In addition, thought leadership, provoking talks, panel discussions and insight sharing will take place across the show floor at the Space and FINN Theatres, as well as the Global Urban Advanced Air Summit (GUAAS) taking place on Thursday.”

Features of the five-day Airshow are to include:-

The Space Zone showcasing the newest technology and launch operators in the market.

: A Business Connections Exchange program matching buyers and investors with vetted suppliers.

A networking Business Lounge sponsored by Lockheed Martin.

The final day opens its doors to the Pioneers of Tomorrow, a dedicated STEM-focused day for the public to inspire and engage the next generation of aerospace, space, defence and technology leaders.

Vertical Aerospace Promise Demonstration Flights

Almost certainly, more companies from the AAM and UAM industries will attend than two years ago. Already, UK-based Vertical Aerospace has promised a major display showcasing its improved VX‑4 eVTOL Aircraft alongside actual demonstration flights during the week-long event.
