Rising demand sees Jet Aviation invest in facilities

Jet Aviation is investing in its Montana, Scottsdale and Houston facilities in response to rising demand.

The firm has broken ground on a new 40,000sqft hangar at its Bozeman facility, scheduled for completion towards the end of 2023. In Houston, Jet Aviation is currently rebuilding a 30,0000sqft hangar, renovating 6,000sqft of FBO space and upgrading 4,500sqft of office space.

In addition, the company is constructing an 18,000sqft hangar in Scottsdale with completion set for mid-2023 — adding to the facility’s existing 30,000sqft hangar.

“We see strong demand for hangar space and the growing need to accommodate large cabin jets,” said Danny Larsen, Jet Aviation’s vice president, business development and real estate.

“According to market data, the US business jet fleet increased by 34% with a physical footprint of 27.5m square-feet, between 2010 and 2020. Jet Aviation manages some 300 aircraft worldwide with a significant number being large cabin, and as such, we are delighted to be expanding our US infrastructure to support this demand and offer solutions for our current and future customers.”

Jet Aviation operates 30 FBOs across the US, Europe, the Middle East and Asia-Pacific.

David Best, Jet Aviation’s SVP, regional operations and general manager of the Americas said: “We want to be where our customers are and it’s evident that Scottsdale, Bozeman, and Houston are important and strategic locations on our map. Investing into these communities and facilities was an easy decision and we are excited to see the opportunities that will arise from these expansions and improvements.”
