Dassault rebrands TAG’s MRO facilities

Dassault Aviation completed its acquisition of TAG Aviation’s maintenance, repair and operations (MRO) business on September 2 and is now rebranding it to show how it differs.

The new company is called TAG Maintenance Services (TMS). Dassault operates several of its own MRO facilities but has decided to continue to use the TAG name to reflect that TMS provides maintenance services for aircraft built by other manufacturers.

“The relationship between TAG and Dassault has been built into a close-knit and formidable bond over the decades,” says Franck Madignier, president, TAG Maintenance Services. “We are delighted to enter into this new chapter with the strength of Dassault Aviation behind us, and a bright future with an expanding customer base ahead of us.”

The TAG maintenance acquisition includes all the TAG facilities, including its service centres in Geneva, Lisbon, Farnborough and Paris Le Bourget Airport. It also includes TAG’s satellite facilities at London’s Luton Airport and in Moscow.

Earlier in 2019 Dassault Aviation acquired the maintenance operations of Execujet and followed up several months later by acquiring RUAG’s business aviation operations in Geneva and Lugano. The Execujet facilities will keep their Execujet branding, however, RUAG will be merged into TAG Maintenance Services.

“We are committed to placing our industry-leading Falcon factory service capabilities as close as possible to customers around the world while offering the same level of top-notch service for other prominent OEM brands,” said Jean Kayanakis, senior vice president, worldwide customer service & service centre network, Dassault Aviation. “Our strategy is aimed at acquiring MRO operations that share our exceedingly high standards for customer service and that operate at the top end of the market,” he added.

Including all recent acquisitions, Dassault Aviation has added 19 new maintenance facilities and 1,000 additional service professionals to its growing maintenance network.
