Integris Aviation Consultancy, the US-based business aviation consulting and acquisition services specialists, will shift its focus to serve the needs of family offices and small-scale flight departments.

The company made the announcement on the first day of the Latin America Business Aviation Convention & Exhibition (LABACE) in Sāo Paulo, Brazil.

Integris was originally founded more than 10 years ago to help US companies build their presence in Brazil. Early clients included Jetcraft Avionics and ACASS.

David Clark, president of Integris, says that the company has shifted its focus as it has seen a growing demand for specialised insight and knowledge when family offices and small flight departments invest in business aircraft.

“Those groups don’t always have the institutional knowledge and systems that professional aviation companies have developed to manage the risks associated with private aviation activities,” says Clark. “We come alongside them and help them make the best decisions possible, according to each situation.”

Clark says that chief pilots typically handle all aspects of aviation at family offices, but whereas they are the experts at flying the aircraft, they often lack the knowledge of managing complex budgets, fleet forecasting or complicated aviation-tax reporting.

“We know that these groups have smart people. We know they understand the big contours of buying and using business aircraft. But what they don’t know could cost them not just money but, more importantly, time and could ultimately compromise safety in some way,” Said Clark. “Our mission is to leverage all the things we know, as well as those in our vast network, with things we’ve spent our professional lives learning by handling deals in business aviation, for the benefit of these clients. In short, we know what they don’t about private aviation,”
