Sino Jet wins big at World Travel Awards

Sino Jet, the Hong Kong-based charter and management company, won two awards at the recent World Travel Awards (WTA).

Alongside the award for China’s leading charter operator, the company also won the award for Asia’s leading charter operator.

This year’s World Travel Awards were held at the Vinpearl Convention Center Phu Quoc, Vietnam.

“We are honoured to receive the WTA Awards which recognise our commitment and determination to provide best-in-class services and the industry’s highest safety standards. Investment into our skilled professionals, particularly engineers, and to expanding Sino Jet’s geographic presence remains key,” said Jenny Lau, group president, Sino Jet. “We continue to strengthen our service portfolio, and we are now further expanding to second- and third-tier cities in China. This market is also very strong for our personalised travel experiences and entrepreneurs’ network, which is delivered through our sister company, GEOSTAR.”

In 2018 Asia’s leading charter operator award was won by Asia Jet. Asia Jet’s win broke a run of three consecutive years that Deer Jet won the award.

Based in Hong Kong but with offices throughout China, Sino Jet is one of the fastest-growing operators in Asia.

Its fleet grew by nine aircraft in 2018, jumping from 30 aircraft at the start of 2018 to 39 aircraft by the end of the year.

Sino Jet also announced that it has added further ramp-side maintenance services in Hong Kong.

The company says that it is part of its enhancement of its maintenance operations in the region. It has also added several highly skilled technicians from around the region.

“The time-saving we can now deliver to our clients presents a significant competitive advantage. With the increasing investment in maintenance office at HKBAC (Hong Kong Business Aviation Centre), Sino Jet is able to deliver Hong Kong’s most efficient management services to our clients,” said Jim Markel, COO, Sino Jet. “Our ability to keep the fleet in the air, safeguarding asset stability for our clients, has earned us a position of strength and trust in the market. We are proud to receive recognition of this by the WTA.” said Jim Markel, Chief Operating Officer at Sino Jet.”
