GAMA welcomes “four new memberships”


The General Aviation Manufacturers Association (GAMA), announced this week it has welcomed four new Memberships: Electric Power Systems (EPS), Pivotal, Venus Aerospace and VoltAero.

Electric Power Systems

Founded in 2016, US-based EPS has its HQ in North Logan, Utah. The company is a leading provider of high-power, scalable powertrains certified for electric aircraft.

Pivotal

Founded in 2011 with its HQ in Palo Alto, California, Pivotal designs, develops and manufactures light eVTOLs with intuitive and powerful controls. Simple to pilot, the company’s tilt-aircraft architecture and scalable platform makes it a leader in its class and is renowned for the BlackFly, the first light eVTOL to be commercially available and delivered to a buyer in the U.S.

Venus Aerospace

Founded in 2020 and based in Houston, Texas, the company is focused on engineering the future of hypersonic flight. 

On its website, Venus Aerospace writes, “Most new space companies are focused on reaching the stars, launching global WiFi, putting tourists in space, gas stations on the moon, and colonising Mars. We’ve got our sights set right here on earth, where travel is still well, light years behind space ambitions.”

It continues, “We are making one-hour global transport possible to connect the world and make it safer.” The company has “an expert team of PhD’s, rocket scientists and engineers taking on the biggest challenges in aerospace at Mach 9 speed.”

VoltAero

Regularly mentioned at evtolinsights.com, VoltAero is developing the Cassio family of aircraft powered by electric-hybrid propulsion. Seating from five to 12 people, the craft will be produced in the Nouvelle Aquitaine region of southwest France.
