AAMS leadership unveils new strategic plan

During a virtual Association of Air Medical Services (AAMS) annual membership meeting on Dec. 15, a new vision, mission, and strategic plan was communicated to the membership during the hour-long webinar that can be accessed here.

In addition, outgoing board members Sherri Dean and Christopher Hall were recognized for their dedicated support of AAMS. New board members Kolby Kolbet and James Houser were introduced for a 2021-2022 term.

AAMS board chair Deborah Boudreaux announced AAMS’s mission is to advance the art and science of transport medicine through advocacy, education, and research ensuring high-quality, life-saving care to patients and communities worldwide. Key to delivering this objective is to assure an innovative member engagement strategy.

“As the voice of transport medicine, AAMS will provide a collaborative, unified voice to enhance advocacy and awareness of medical transport’s role in healthcare,” said Cameron Curtis, AAMS president and CEO. “The new strategic plan was thoughtfully developed with strong membership input and insights. Our small but mighty team is dedicated to providing excellent engagement and services through informative and quality education, resources, and advocacy,” she added.
