Daniel Schneider, managing director of SP Helicopter-Service GmbH, and Jan Dammes, managing partner of Aeroheli International, signed an agreement at European Rotors with the aim of bundling the activities of both companies in the future. The intention is, to have the two companies under one roof to expand capabilities and increase customer satisfaction. For this purpose, the new company “SP Helicopter -Service Technik GmbH” was founded.

SP Helicopter-Service has been successful on the German and international market for many years and has made a name for itself as a service center for helicopters from the US manufacturer Schweizer. In addition, with its branches in Dattenberg and Landshut, SP has an excellent network in the helicopter market.

In the future it is planned to also take over the maintenance of Aeroheli helicopters operated in west and south parts of Germany. As a Robinson dealer, Aeroheli International is the ideal partner to cover all business areas for piston-powered helicopters.

In addition to flights for geophysical exploration, including laser surveying and airborne firefighting, the core business of the company based in Neuhausen, Brandenburg, is monitoring flights on oil and gas pipelines. With more than 30 years of experience and currently 350,000 of pipeline kilometers monitored annually, the company is now the leading provider in DACH in this field.

With the 2 new maintenance locations in western and southern Germany, the availability of the helicopters used should be improved and the number of unproductive empty flights minimized. In addition to the Airbus Helicopters AS350/355 and EC-120 series and the Robinson Helicopters , the portfolio of offered maintenance for helicopters now also includes products from Bell Helicopters, Schweizer and Enström as well as MD-500. Furthermore, various types of fixed-wing aircraft are serviced at the Landshut location.
