Alpine Aerotech announced today that they have officially received a Transport Canada Civil Aviation (TCCA), Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), and European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) Supplemental Type Certificates (STC) for protective floor and cargo panels designed for Bell 429 aircraft.

Alpine Aerotech worked with closely with both domestic, and international customers to ensure the kit is suitable for various operating conditions. Their proprietary protection kits are designed and fabricated with high-grade polymer composite material that is specifically designed to be light-weight, rugged, and energy attenuating, which provides added protection to the aircraft. They are also compatible with auxiliary fuel tanks, and/or bulkhead closeouts. They now come with an anti-scuff protective coating, which helps maintain surface finish over years of rugged use and service.

“We already have panel protection approvals for Airbus H125 (AS350) and most Bell aircraft,” explains Taylor Wilson, manager of manufacturing at Alpine Aerotech. “We are excited to include the 429 in our portfolio and have other projects such as the Bell 505 underway with certification expected in the near future.”
