Essex Industries has announced the promotion of Seth Voelker to vice president of manufacturing operations. As a hands-on leader who takes a simple approach to problems and improvements, Voelker has been a driving force in elevating operational excellence within the company.
Voelker joined the company in July 2019 as the continuous improvement manager, driving continued refinement throughout the business. He spent the last two years helping Essex acquire and integrate two new companies into their portfolio as the operations manager.
Voelker has an MBA and a bachelor of science in industrial engineering, as well as a Lean Six Sigma Black Belt and Green Belt. His work experience includes leadership roles at Lear Seating, Brunswick Boats, and Visteon, with 23 years in manufacturing.
Essex Industries is a manufacturer focused in aerospace and defense markets, with product lines that include platform controls, aircraft components, liquid oxygen systems, and emergency breathing equipment.
Essex employs over 400 people at its locations in St. Louis, Missouri, Huntington Beach, California, and Milford, Connecticut.
