FAI Air Ambulance receives EURAMI accreditation

FAI’s Air Ambulance Division has received accreditation from the European Aeromedical Institute (EURAMI) for the fifth time for both long-range intercontinental fixed wing and regional fixed wing air ambulance services.

The award covers 15 aircraft in the fleet, including its Bombardier Global Express, Challenger 850, Challenger 604 and Learjet 60 aircraft. It also includes medical endorsement of the company’s adult critical and advanced care and pediatric and neonatal critical care.

The EURAMI gave the award following an audit of the operator’s experience, safety record, aircraft suitability, medical care quality, medical equipment and staff qualifications.

“This is a significant award for FAI and it reflects our company ethos which is a commitment to safety and an outstanding level of service to our customers, patients and all who fly with us,” said Volker Lemke, head of Air Ambulance Division, FAI.

Back in November, FAI Aviation Group predicted it would turnover €120m (£105m) in revenue for 2022, with cash mainly coming from record sales in charter and MRO services, which were up 30% compared with 2021. The financial update added that it experienced a steady increase in air ambulance work since the pandemic, creating unexpected growth in the sector.
