Heli Solutions GmbH of Switzerland has received approval from the European Union Aviation Safety Agency for its electronic flight bag mounts eligible for installation on AS350 B2 (VEMD) and AS350 B3 helicopters.
The EFB mounts can be installed on either the left-hand side or the right-hand side of the instrument panel. The mounts are designed with different type of tablet holders (for 8-inch tablet, 10-inch tablet, iPad Mini, iPad, iPad Pro) and can be removed without the need of any tools by the pilot. Reciprocal agreements with EASA mean that the approval is accepted by the FAA, Transport Canada and ANAC in Brazil.
Renowned aerial work operator Blugeon Helicoptères of France will be the launch customer of the EFB mounts. Series production will commence soon, and mounts will be available for delivery to customers beginning in February 2022.
