ITP Aero has earned the prestigious Platinum Medal by EcoVadis, a global leader in business sustainability assessments.

This recognition places ITP Aero within the top one percent of companies assessed by EcoVadis in 2024 globally. EcoVadis is renowned as the world’s most trusted business sustainability rating and is the standard tool for aerospace sector companies, as recommended by the International Aerospace Environment Group (IAEG).

ITP Aero began its sustainability assessment with EcoVadis in 2022 to achieve external validation of its ESG strengths and areas for improvement, achieving Gold Medal in its 2023 rating.

The EcoVadis rating covers all industries across four key pillars: Environment, labour and human rights, sustainable procurement, and ethics and information security.

In the EcoVadis 2024 sustainability rating, ITP Aero has scored a 91 out of 100 overall, including a 100 out of 100 in Environment, 90 out of 100 in labour and human rights, 80 out of 100 in sustainable procurement and 90 out of 100 in ethics and information security.

This milestone comes at a time of growth for ITP Aero as an independent company since Bain Capital took ownership in September 2022.

The Platinum Medal aligns with ITP Aero’s strategic aim of becoming a world-class ESG company and its commitment to achieving net-zero carbon emissions by 2050. In addition, the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi), has recently approved ITP Aero’s near-term targets.

Belén González, head of ESG at ITP Aero: “It’s a great honor for us to be within the top one percent of companies rated by EcoVadis. This rating reflects the robust sustainability management systems and processes that ITP Aero has been developing and upgrading over the years and demonstrates the maturity and consolidation of our comprehensive ESG Roadmap. We are delivering innovative solutions to help build a greener and more sustainable future of aviation and this milestone proves that we are on the right track.”

EcoVadis’ business sustainability ratings are based on international sustainability standards such as the Ten Principles of the UN Global Compact, the International Labour Organization (ILO) conventions, the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) standards and the ISO 26000 standard. The ratings provide an evidenced-based analysis on performance and an actionable roadmap for continuous improvement.
