The partnership between James Richardson & Sons, Limited and Affiliated Companies (JRSL) and STARS continues to have a lasting impact on the lives of patients across western Canada. That impact is amplified today as we celebrate the company’s $1.5 million gift to STARS.

JRSL representatives, STARS team and board members, and one of STARS’ patients, gathered today at the Winnipeg base to announce this most recent donation, which will support STARS’ critical care operations in Manitoba, Saskatchewan, Alberta, and northeastern B.C.

“As many of our business locations are situated in rural communities, we depend on STARS to provide critical, life-saving care when every second counts,” said Hartley Richardson, JRSL Executive Chair, President & Chief Executive Officer. “We are immensely proud to lend our support to keep STARS mission-ready to provide emergency medical services and transportation to remote areas. We share in their belief that where you live, work or play should not impede your chance of survival.”

“James Richardson & Sons, Limited and its affiliated companies have been tremendous supporters of STARS. Having a partner like the JR Group of Companies, who make Manitoba its home, continuing to support STARS in this massive way is very meaningful,” said STARS president and CEO Andrea Robertson.

“This partnership has a direct impact on the lives of western Canadians and is an investment in the well-being of local communities. This generous donation helps to ensure that STARS can continue to deliver critical care, anywhere. We were built by the community, for the community, we are so thankful to have this significant partnership enabling us to always be ready for the patients in need.”
