MRO Insider surpasses 2,000 registered aircraft

MRO Insider announced this week that it has surpassed 2,000 registered aircraft on their business aircraft services platform. The platform, launched in October 2017, has seen exponential growth over the past four years which has helped the network expand across the North America and the world.

President Andy Nixon explained, “When we launched the platform, our original goal was 250 aircraft within the first two years, but we hit that milestone within six months of launch. At that time, 500 aircraft seemed like an impossible goal – but we accomplished that in 2019. To see us hit the 2,000 aircraft mark 2 years later is somewhat surreal, but also keeps us motivated for our growth and excited for our future.”

There is no fee to join the network as an aircraft operator, and Nixon reports Part 135 operators have added their aircraft to streamline AOG, detailing and fuel quote requests. After registering, the user can receive real-time quotes from service providers within a specified range of the aircraft.

“With the labor shortage we have seen this year, we’ve found that by offering a platform that requires a single request we have streamlined the process and made it much more efficient – a core value since our inception. When you’re dealing with a short-staffed maintenance control department, or you are a director of maintenance on overtime – every minute counts. We’ve heard the struggles that these departments are experiencing and are proud to be a part of the solution,” Nixon added.

Although most of the registered aircraft are based within the United States, Nixon reports that approximately 10% of registered aircraft are in Mexico and South America. “We have seen an increase in our registrations south of the US over the past six months, which is a result of the expansion of our MRO Insider Latin America team,” Nixon stated. Registered aircraft are a combination of both turbine and turboprop powered aircraft, with an increase in helicopter registrations occurring in South America.
