Outerlink Global Solutions is pleased to announce the launch of the AXIS Command and Control platform. The new command and control platform will serve as a replacement for the Outerlink Console v2.4 with new feature enhancements, efficient dashboard tiles, online tutorials, and in-browser voice and text messaging.

AXIS is unlike anything in the industry. With the use of the in-aircraft IRIS system, AXIS delivers real-time actionable “telematics” (long-distance transfer of digital information) from the helicopter to the operator’s Operational Control Center (“OCC”) for rapid response in critical situations.  The web-based AXIS platform also provides direct communication from a smart device to an aircraft from any location.

Additionally, AXIS’ innovative tiled dashboard gives new meaning to speed and accuracy in the OCC. Critical asset data is condensed and color-coded to display the health status of each aircraft in-fight. This full-fleet view allows users to quickly be alerted of a mission-critical situation and adjust focus to that aircraft.

Outerlink is committed to helping customers get the maximum value from AXIS. As a part of that commitment, Outerlink has added on-demand training modules to keep users aware of updates as the AXIS platform evolves.

“We’ve been doing this for nearly 30 years now,” said Outerlink CIO Rod Danielson. “Our goal is to design, build, and continuously improve the way aircraft flight followers collect and visualize their assets in the field.”
