When a Midwest hospital resurfaced their helipad, a parking lot was pressed into service as a temporary LZ by using a portable Battery Operated Barrier (BOB) to restrict access to authorized personnel only. By assigning remote controls with visor clips to emergency equipment, only approved emergency vehicles could access the pad. Available for use as a temporary security gate 24/7 in all kinds of weather, BOB easily fits in the trunk of a compact vehicle and has a solar option to provide remote use.
