Global helicopter provider, PHI, has announced the expansion of its maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) services. The services will be delivered out of its state-of-the-art facility in Lafayette, Louisiana, as well as being delivered in-field and on-site. 

Managing Director of PHI Aviation, Keith Mullett, says the expansion of the MRO offering, opening up PHI’s industry-leading services to external clients, is an exciting new phase for the company and is an integral part of the company’s focus on diversifying its service offering while delivering additional value to their customers.

The company’s cutting-edge maintenance and repair center is recognized as a Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Certified Repair Station with DAR and DER authorizations. The purpose-built, facility offers more than 170,000 square feet for major inspections, modifications, upgrades, engineering and painting.

As part of the expansion of MRO services, PHI will offer routine maintenance and inspections, pre-buy and lease return inspections and professional paint finishes for a variety of aircraft component types. Aircraft modifications, engineering new solutions and installing complex modifications to existing systems will also be offered with the MRO division able to manage the entire design and build process in-house. There is also a full array of specialized shops onsite at the MRO facility, offering everything from avionics, specialty machining, component overhaul and repair, custom paint, corrosion control, airframe structural support and custom upholstery. 

Alongside offering comprehensive MRO services and support, PHI will also leverage its integrated global parts and supply chain knowledge and insight, providing solutions to help further minimize costs and downtime while maximizing aircraft availability for customers.
