Platinum Simulators is developing a new add-on to the Professional Helicopter Simulator that will allow night vision goggle (NVG) training. This new add-on will consist of a head mounted device (HMD) that will represent the outside night view and the NVG view. The HMD will allow you to “look around” the NVG as well as being able to see the cockpit, gauges, radios, and yourself.
For long-line training, the HMD will allow the pilot to look around and underneath the helicopter as well as being able to see the cockpit, gauges, radios, and yourself.
This HMD can also be retrofitted to existing Platinum or FLYIT Professional Helicopter Simulators.
