Pula Aviation expands with airpart supply acquisition

Pula Aviation Services has acquired UK-based Airpart Supply, whose expertise in supplying aircraft parts increases the services Pula can offer to its clients in business and general aviation.

Howard Povey, business development director, Pula told CJI: “The acquisition has added a completely new capability in the distribution of aircraft parts and components. There are synergies with other capabilities in our group, notably aircraft maintenance and we are expecting our maintenance clients to experience benefits in the supply of parts for their aircraft.”

Airpart founders, David McHugh and Rob Allen, will be staying on with in a leadership capacity, supported by a second-tier management team. Povey said the timing of the acquisition was driven by the timing of the opportunity which had been set by Airpart’s founders.

“A core facet of Pula’s strategy is growth, either organically, by investing in existing or new capabilities or via acquisition,” added Povey.

Pula intends to invest further in Airpart to broaden the scope of services it offers its clients, but to grow the business as well, according to Povey.

Steve Page, CEO of Pula, added, “At Pula, we are focussed on growing our position in business aviation and we are delighted to be broadening our capabilities with the acquisition of Airpart which has valuable synergies with the rest of the group. This deal presents us with exciting new opportunities for growth.”

Airpart will be joining PASL’s other operating companies Centreline and ASG in the group.
