Recoil Aerospace nears STC approval for T1000-E Wildfire Suppression System

Recoil Aerospace is on the brink of a major milestone as the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) nears final approval for the Supplemental Type Certificate (STC) of its groundbreaking T1000-E Wildfire Suppression System.

Following months of rigorous testing and evaluation, Recoil Aerospace anticipates STC approval for the T1000-E system, signalling a significant advancement in aerial firefighting technology.

“We are thrilled to be on the verge of achieving STC approval for our T1000-E Wildfire Suppression System,” said Joseph Rice, President & Managing Director of Recoil Aerospace. “This imminent milestone is a testament to our dedication to innovation, safety, and excellence in aerial firefighting.”

The T1000-E system represents a leap forward in aerial firefighting capabilities, offering enhanced performance, efficiency, and reliability in wildfire suppression operations.

Key features of the T1000-E system include:

         •       Impressive Capacity: With a capacity of 3,785 Liters/1,000 US Gallons, the T1000-E system ensures extended firefighting operations without frequent refills.

         •       Rapid Fill and Drop: The system boasts a fill time of 35-40 seconds and a drop time of just 5 seconds, allowing for quick and precise firefighting maneuvers.

  •       Lightweight Design: Despite its robust capabilities, the T1000-E system weighs only 250 kg/550 lbs., ensuring optimal aircraft performance and maneuverability.

         •       Reliable Power Source: Powered by the aircraft’s AC system, the T1000-E ensures consistent and dependable operation during firefighting missions.

         •       Enhanced Foam Capability: Equipped with a 30 Gallon Foam Tank, the T1000-E system offers enhanced firefighting effectiveness, especially in challenging conditions.

         •       Redundant Retraction System: With dual retraction redundancy, the T1000-E system ensures reliable and fail-safe retraction during operations.

“We are confident that the imminent approval of the T1000-E STC will mark a significant advancement in aerial firefighting technology,” added Rice. “The T1000-E system’s innovative features and capabilities will empower firefighters to combat wildfires with unprecedented efficiency and effectiveness while prioritizing safety.”

Recoil Aerospace has already commenced production on additional T1000-E tanks to meet the growing demand and is now accepting deposits for orders.
