Rod Buschkoetter flies west


It is with heartfelt sadness that M International reports the passing of Rod Buschkoetter, 60, of Lake St. Louis, Missouri, who died Tuesday, Sept. 8, 2020, at Missouri Baptist Medical Center in St. Louis.

Buschkoetter was a graduate of Purdue University and fortunate enough to work within the aviation industry, which he loved. His employers included Sikorsky Aircraft Corporation, Sabreliner Aircraft, Triumph Aerospace/Fabritech and M International, Inc., where he served as our director of government programs. 

In addition to his love for aviation, he enjoyed traveling and studying theology. He was known to be quick-witted with a great sense of humor along with a strong character and a deep devotion to his family.

He was a mentor to many and contributed greatly to the success of M International – his impact will continue to be felt for a long time. Buschkoetter was involved with The Army Aviation Association of America (AAAA), Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association (AOPA), Helicopter Association International (HAI), and the Air Force Association (AFA).

He was born July 20, 1960, in Jasper, Indiana to Anthony and Mary Lou (Sermersheim) Buschkoetter; and married Diane Welp on April 25, 1987, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Huntingburg, Indiana, and was preceded in death by his parents. 

Buschkoetter is survived by his wife, Diane Buschkoetter of Lake St. Louis; three children, Kyle, Craig and Andrea Buschkoetter all of St. Louis; and one brother, Ryan Buschkoetter of Huntingburg, Indiana.

Funeral services for Rod Buschkoetter were held Monday, Sept. 14, 2020, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Huntingburg and burial followed at St. Mary’s Cemetery.
