Schweizer welcomes new CFO

Schweizer is pleased to welcome Lewis Newman as the company’s new Chief Financial Officer (CFO). Newman’s first day with Schweizer is April 10, 2023.

“Lewis is a highly respected financial professional with a long history in aerospace manufacturing and a strong track record of driving financial growth,” says David Horton, President and CEO of Schweizer. “He makes a wonderful addition to the Schweizer leadership team. His expertise will help guide Schweizer through this next exciting phase as we ramp up production and expand our business.”

Newman’s more than 35 years of finance experience, almost entirely in manufacturing and aerospace manufacturing, includes several key C-Suite finance positions where he was responsible for strengthening company finances, overseeing mergers and acquisitions, strengthening systems, and identifying opportunities for companies to both save money and accelerate growth. He is a self-described ‘hands on’ finance and accounting leader with a tactical, strategic, and manufacturing operations focus and strength.

“I feel blessed to be joining Schweizer at this time and I look forward to partnering with David Horton, sales, and operations to drive growth in both the global brand and financial value,” says Newman.

Prior to Schweizer, Newman served in multiple leadership positions including interim CFO at Rochester Sensors, interim CFO at Precision NDT, and CFO of FreshOne Holdings. Before those positions, he was the senior vice president of finance and the CFO at the Carroll Company where he oversaw financial management of the company’s restructuring and set it on a path to profitability. He has also served as CFO at Marlow Industries, Constella Group’s Futures Group Division, and TXF Products. Newman is a licensed CPA and holds a master’s in business administration from The University of North Texas and a bachelor’s degree of business administration in finance from The University of Texas at Arlington.
