Schonely focuses on the aftermath of an officer down call and how public safety officers can take care of themselves afterward.

Schonely is a 36-year law enforcement veteran with 31 years at Los Angeles Police Department — 19 of which were spent in the Air Support Division as both a tactical flight officer and command pilot. Schonely created and instructs a course titled Apprehending fleeing suspects, and has also written a book available online with the same title.
