Vertical Magazine, in partnership with the global helicopter distributor Rotortrade, has announced the launch of “Rotortrade 360 – Market Pulse” — a new series of reports exploring the pre-owned helicopter market.

Each report will focus on a different model, providing industry-leading analysis by geographical region and operating segment, identifying pre-owned drivers and trends.

The analysis is presented through a series of easy-to-digest graphs and charts, with Rotortrade’s “RT Index” reflecting the equilibrium between supply and demand providing a precise figure on the marketability of a type by mission segment.

“Readers have been asking for this kind of in-depth analysis for some time, and we’re delighted to be able to bring this to them in partnership with Rotortrade,” said Mike Reyno, Vertical Magazine’s Publisher. “The breadth of information contained within these reports is second to none, and we’re sure our readers will appreciate the insight they provide on the market.”

In addition to key performance indicators, Rotortrade 360 – Market Pulse provides a brief history of its subject’s development, success and challenges in the market, with operator feedback as to its benefits and limitations. The analysis includes a look at the type’s position within the market by operating sector, its competition within that space, and factors that drive the pre-owned market within that sector. Finally, it looks at the outlook for the type in the short to medium term.

“Rotortrade is proud to partner with Vertical to provide unbiased pre-owned market information to a wide audience of helicopter professionals,” said Aurélien Blanc, Rotortrade’s Managing Partner. “We strive to gather diverse intelligence across missions, regions and a variety of operators, equipment manufacturers and OEMs through our research team and branches across five continents. We want to tell it like it is and avoid shortcuts in providing numbers or data that look good, but do not accurately reflect the complexities of the global market.”

The series began with a look at the Leonardo AW139, which was featured in the March issue of Vertical. The next subject will be the Airbus H125 (also known as the AS350 B3e), which will be presented in the June issue.
