In a special function organized at Taj Krishna on March 25, Mr. Jyotiraditya Scindia, Minister of Civil Aviation, Government of India, presented the Wings India Awards 2022.  Rajiv Bansal, Secretary, Ministry of Civil Aviation, Government of India, past president of FICCI, also graced the occasion.

The aviation innovation award was bagged by Bangalore Intl Airport Ltd (BIAL); Spicejet, Hindustan Aeronautics Ltd (HAL), Stelace Technology. 

GMR Aviation Academy, CATC AAI received best agency for providing aviation skills and training; Sarang team as India’s only indigenous military helicopter display team with Indian Air Force; Cochin Airport and Delhi Intl Airport Ltd (DIAL) received the Covid champions award; Indian Oil SkyTanking was recognized as best aviation fuel service provider.

BIAL was recognized as the best airport in the general category at more than 25 million and HIAL, GMR Hyderabad International Airport was recognized as the best airport in the less than 25 million category.

FlyBig and Pawan Hans were recognized as the best airlines and helicopter operator under regional connectivity scheme (RCS), and Hubbali as the best airport (under RCS). 

Delhi and Mumbai Airport (MAIL) were recognized in the category of aviation sustainability and environment. TATA SIA Airlines Ltd was recognized in the airline category and Airbus in manufacturing.

Bird Group and Air India SATS received the award for the best ground handling service.

JetSetGo and Himalayan Heli Services Ltd were recognized in the best non-scheduled operator category.

Air India Express and Air Works received recognition for Covid-19 continuity. Kerala, Maharashtra, Madhyapradesh, Uttar Pradesh and Karnataka states were declared as the most dynamic states in aviation.
