Yellowhead Helicopters Ltd. (YHL) is proud to announce the acquisition of two BK117-B2 aircraft, bringing the number of BKs in the YHL fleet to four.

Jacob Forman, CEO of YHL, said: “The BK117 is still the top-performing intermediate twin in the world. Four decades after it was introduced, with the 850 engine upgrade, these legacy B2 aircraft compete with the latest versions coming from the factory.

“Furthermore, STARS’ maintenance team took care of these aircraft like they were fine porcelain, giving the appearance that they just left the factory last week,” he added.

Linda Dalgetty, CFO of STARS, said: “We are so pleased that these wonderful aircraft, after decades of lifesaving service, will carry on performing tasks for others while sharing the airspace with our newly introduced, state-of-art H145 helicopter fleet.”
