Prague-based company Zuri, an innovator in the aerospace industry, continues its work on the development of a hybrid vertical take-off and landing (VTOL) five-seater aircraft.

The current presentation of the aircraft in AR builds on the success of the VR flight simulator (one-plus-four), which the company presented at the AERO Show Friedrichshafen this April.

Zuri participated in the Dubai Airshow alongside 11 other selected domestic companies from the aviation industry, thanks to support from the Czech Ministry of Industry and Trade.

In their on-site booth, Zuri highlighted the advantages of its concept, both for passenger and cargo usage.

By actively seeking partnerships with experts and investors, Zuri positions itself as a key player in the development of sustainable and technologically advanced air transport solutions.

Key points from Zuri’s presentation at the Dubai Airshow

Evolution from VR to AR. The presentation of the Zuri AR aircraft follows the success of the VR simulator presented at the AERO Show Friedrichshafen. The extension of presentation options from virtual reality to augmented reality reflects Zuri’s effort to bring the advantages of the revolutionary aircraft closer to the widest possible groups of interested parties from the professional and lay public.

Cooperation with experts and investors. At the Dubai Airshow, Zuri actively engaged with industry experts and investors, seeking cooperation and support for the further development of a unique hybrid electric aircraft. Designed for five people, this aircraft boasts a range of 700 kilometers in line with Zuri’s commitment to sustainable regional mobility.

Hybrid electric aircraft development. Zuri’s aim at the airshow with experts and investors was to encourage cooperation in the development of their hybrid electric aircraft. This innovative project signifies Zuri’s commitment to shaping the future of air travel by introducing green solutions without compromising on performance or passenger experience.

Michal Illich,CEO of Zuri, expressed the company’s vision and said: “The launch of AR in Dubai represents the next chapter in presenting our innovation. Building on the success of our VR simulator, we are proud to showcase the potential of augmented reality. But our main focus stays in the physical world — in flight tests of our largescale, 11-meter demonstrator and continued tests of subscale models. Our collaboration with experts and investors is a crucial step towards the realization of our vision of a unique hybrid electric aircraft that pushes the boundaries of sustainable aviation.”

Zuri’s presence at the Dubai Airshow underscores the company’s proactive approach to collaboration and innovation. Thanks to their unique presentation, representatives of Zuri gained the attention of several authorities and partners. Dubai aims to offer a vertiport for VTOL aircraft transportation, among the world’s first, as early as 2026.
