The U.S. Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has started planning for the 2020 FAA International Rotorcraft Safety Conference, and would like to hear from helicopter pilots and mechanics about what programming they would like to see during the 2020 safety conference.

The conference will be held in October 2020 in the Fort Worth, Texas, area. It is geared primarily toward helicopter pilots and mechanics, but students, engineers, industry executives, industry association leaders, and representatives from foreign civil aviation authorities also attend. The last conference took place in October 2018 and included a variety of presentations on topics ranging from crash survival and bird strikes to accident data and regulatory activities.

Topic suggestions can be emailed to eugene.trainor@faa.gov. The FAA is also accepting proposals from speakers, but won’t be narrowing down programming for the conference until the fall.
