Ryan Aerospace (Australia) wins prestigious Qld Premier’s Export Award


Ryan Aerospace (Australia) has won a prestigious prize at the Queensland Premier’s Export Awards – the Small Business Category.

Managing director Chris Ryan said he was delighted to receive the award saying that it was a recognition of some really hard work by his small but growing team.

 

Ryan Aerospace (Australia) has won some major military contracts in the United States in the last 12 months, but has also seen significant growth in Asia and Europe, which contributed to its success on the night.

Leveraging virtual reality technology and investing heavily in research and development, Ryan Aerospace has developed a new kind of helicopter simulator that is disrupting traditional helicopter training paths. Evidence of the effectiveness of virtual reality simulators in training is building.

In taking this award, Ryan Aerospace is now automatically a finalist in the Australian National Export Awards. Winners will be announced at a Gala event to be held in Canberra in December.

Ryan Aerospace was also finalist in the Richard Joel Award for the Defence Industry category, which was taken by friends and colleagues of Ryan Aerospace, Immersaview.
