MD Helicopters (MDH) has formed an authorized service center council representing its 40-member network to strengthen customer support for the MD Helicopters global fleet.

“MD Helicopters is deeply committed to strengthening our support for our customers and their aircraft,” said Ryan Weeks, MD Helicopters vice president of aftermarket sales and support.

“A council of our most established and active service centers facilitates stronger communication between the OEM and our service centers, allowing us to efficiently respond at the OEM level.”

The MD Helicopters authorized service center council aims to bring the original equipment manufacturer closer to its network members, allowing for more frequent communication, review and discussion of policy changes, and a stronger understanding of customer needs.

In partnership with MD, the council will also establish new policies, pricing, procedures and products that are in the best interest of supporting the fleet.

The inaugural class of council members includes:

  • Thoroughbred Aviation in Kentucky, USA
  • EM Heli-Logistics in British Columbia, Canada
  • SAS in Belgium
  • Hutt Aviation in New Zealand
  • Summit Helicopters in Virginia, USA
  • Mid Pacific Aero Services in Hawaii, USA

The six-member council will meet four times a year, with one of those meetings being in person. Meetings will commence Q3, 2023.
